M6241

M6241 - the integrated wireless DECT telephony offer

The M6241 base station  allows to adapt precisely a radio cover depending radio traffic and outdoor as metal frame, pole… This solution avoids deploying many base stations and minimizes infrastructure and management for a best solution of mobility and communication.

For security, it is recommended to install two M6241 to ensure a radio cover in case of failure.
For service availability, it is recommended to connect the M6241 to a gateway. This solution provides hand over in multi-site.
The M6241 is a DECT standard base station. It provides radio coverage for a given spherical area whose surface area varies between 50 to 200 meters. Antennas are used to optimise the radio coverage, giving priority to certain directions. Moreover, remote external antennas are used to cover external spaces directly.

Depending on the type of interface, it allows up to 4 call channels at the same time.

It is easy to integrate into an office environment: or shop, reception hall etc., due to:
  • its compact dimensions,
  • its wall-mounting
  • its anthracite colour.

-More information

The following climatic conditions apply to the DECT base station:
  • Temperature: +5 to +40 °C
  • Relative humidity: 10 to 80%, without condensation

The connection characteristics correspond to the remote bus topology: 800 to 850 m (ISDN S0 bus connection principle) without interruption, depending on the type of cable used (4 or 6/10). The system is then star wired from the iPbx.

In case of combining several connection types, the transmission infrastructure is based on three telephone pairs.

Power is supplied remotely to the base stations: There is no need for a mains supply at the location of the base station. It is always possible to supply power locally to the base station.

Administration is simplified.

  • At the power up, base stations download the firmware from Aastra platforms
  • An LED at the front provides immediate indication of the base station activity status.
